The first-floor windows and doors are covered with bottoms-up tops-down shades. The outdoor kitchen features an Argentinian Grill from JD Fabrications, a dual gas cooktop, and a top-of-the-line TEC 44" infrared grill, all set in a ~16-foot 4-inch-thick concrete countertop. There are two exterior block and steel firepits in different outdoor living spaces. All sconces on the home's exterior were custom made from ~1⁄4" c-channel steel. Huge rectangular pool is iconic and is surrounded by steel panels. There is also a modern outdoor shower that uses the filtered and softened water. Above the guest house is a 900 sq. ft. deck for entertaining or to capture a view of the valley. The rear patio is wired for 4 outdoor speakers connected to the main media center. 5 back patio fans compliment a professional misting system used for cooling the back patio. The landscaping includes numerous mature mesquites, iron wood, palo verde trees, and saguaro cacti. The interior of the landscaping is all surrounded with a block wall that is also screened and skirted at gates to prevent unwanted wildlife. The irrigated landscape is controlled by an Orbit WiFi controlled, intelligent timer. Two large, insulated garage doors open to a 4-car garage (1,092 sq.ft.) with 10' ceilings, air conditioning and tons of built-in storage with polished concrete floors. The garage doors also have accent windows dotting the south side. The air conditioning units were replaced on the main home in 2016 and the other upgraded to a 5-ton variable speed unit in 2019 (the owners did not move in until September 2020, so these are virtually new). The previous 4-ton unit on the main house was re-provisioned for the guest house. There is also a mini-split system in the master so that to sleep very cool at night the entire house does not have to be cooled down. There is a 400A electrical service to the house, and the garage has a dedicated plug for a welder or kiln. Timers control outdoor lighting (all sconces are controlled manually, except the garage sconces and step lights that automatically come on during the evening).
