Several bus routes run on North Capitol Ave NW, Florida Ave NW, and Rhode Island Ave NW. If biking is your preferred method of travel, there is a Capital Bikeshare station at R Street and Florida Ave NW in the neighborhood. Rhode Island Ave NW and North Capitol St NW provide direct routes into downtown DC and out to the Maryland suburbs. Interstate 395 begins less than two miles south of the area and heads out into Virginia and the Anacostia Freeway (DC Route 295) via I-695.
