Residents have a locked gate in Summer with guest access through Donner Memorial State Park. Cold Stream Road is NOT PLOWED in winter, and neighborhood residents use snowmobiles, snowcats and quads. In spring Cold Creek can be high, hampering car access through the mousehole. In summer, only higher clearance 4wd vehicles can proceed beyond Horseshoe Bend and drive directly to the property. At times there is a significant water flow through the main access at the mousehole. Drivers who do not want to navigate the mousehole should park at Horseshoe Bend and walk the rest of the way in. Please stay on either Cold Stream Road or S. Cold Creek Road until you reach the property. There are private parcels on both sides of these roads. As of August 2025, the Two-Creeks property has been marked with corner markers set by a surveyor, and the long property lines (north and south) are marked with periodic streamers along the boundaries and stakes at the roads. It is recommended to bring a compass or compass app to track cardinal directions when following the property boundaries. Please note that the parcel is divided by creeks and accessed by two different roads. Make sure to see both the "Hillside Area" accessible from S. Fork Cold Creek Road and the "Legacy Camp Site" and "Confluence" areas accessible from Cold Stream Road, just north of Cold Stream Lodge. On the property, there is a rustic footbridge paralleling Cold Stream Road. This bridge was neither built nor maintained by the parcel owners.
