From the home owner.. "I love driving through the gate...exhaling and my shoulders dropping, beginning to relax under the live oaks on my way home (about 1.5 minutes from the gate). I love the spaciousness of the home and that it's also cozy and comfortable. I love the VIEW. The fragrance of magnolia and jasmine in bloom. I love seeing the courtyard from the kitchen, reminding me of rural Italy... warm peach-coral stucco walls with small white lights around the wall and decking (installed over cracked concrete "floor") I love that green plants make it thorough the mostly-mild winters. I love the closets and storage space. I love that this is an end unit, so there's some space to garden.. I love watching the birds who visit the feeder and the ones that sometimes fly by the bedroom window, often the first sight I see after opening my eyes in the morning...watching a lazy gator ("Tank") glide by, seeing the fat fish jumping, and being entertained by the turtles poking their heads through the water's surface or sunning on a log. I love the privacy that this particular townhouse affords. I love seeing lights (from houses across the lake) reflecting in the water and a crescent moon turning the lake into a mirror. And I love the excitement of holiday fireworks across the water. I love deciding on a whim to commune with the ocean and being there in a flash. I love being so close to Charleston, Myrtle Beach, the other beaches, and returning to the serenity of Belle Isle after all the activities. Nearby Brookgreen Gardens is one of the most beautiful places on earth for walking or the variety of events, including concerts and "Nights of a Thousand Candles." I love my good Belle Isle neighbors, glad to "be there" for one another if need be, and also respectful of each other's privacy. You'll see spectacular sunsets from the dinner table and possibly serve fish from the lake just outside your door. Belle Isle is paradise for birders, people who enjoy boating and fishing, history buffs, writers, artists, tennis players, and world-weary souls seeking peace and balance in the natural beauty here. History buffs: Francis Marion, the "Swamp Fox" spent some of his boyhood at Belle Isle; there's a Civil War battery with cannons still in place, and a Native American burial ground on what was once a rice plantation." This is a Must see to believe property!!
