While the benefits of sitting on our deck and patio (BBQs, relaxing on the deck and more recently watching our kids running around and playing with neighborhood kids) are obvious, one of the best features of the house are the great neighbors, schools and local parks. The neighbors are one of the reasons why we will miss this place as all of them are friendly. The nearby parks were a favorite of ours where the accessibility to Burke Lake Park, Fountainhead, Wakefield Park and local trails was another big plus for our family as we would bike ride or run on weekends or after work on the local trails. If you are into running, hiking or mt. biking, the wooded trails are surprisingly vast and challenging with many hills while enjoying nature. A huge plus for us was the proximity to the city where there are multiple transportation options to go to downtown DC for pleasure (great city to visit) or work. If you need to get to the big box stores (Khols, Target, Costco, department stores, etc), theyre minutes away.
