The Farewell Bend State Recreation Area is a popular destination for a day trip or weekend excursion. It offers boat ramps, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, a volleyball court, and seasonal camping. It is a great place to watch for wildlife such as deer, geese, eagles, chukars, and quail.
