TURQUOISE VEIN THRU CLAIM
MINING CLAIM OWNERSHIP
OWNER FINANCING
This is a legally registered, unpatented 20.66 acre GEM LODE mining claim for sale, the Sedona Gem Lode #1 located 12.7 miles West of Sedona, in Yavapai County, Arizona.
Besides the crystal/quartz and turquoise veins running thru the claim, a number of washes are on the claim to add also gold prospecting to your adventures. A small pocket of quartz/gold is also in the vein.
A previous buyer of one of our claims in this area told us she found a tremendous amount of gems on her claim.
The mineral vein runs East to West thru about the middle of the claim mountain.
Very unique to have a gem vein and gold prospecting on one claim.
Many Westerns have been filmed in this area, going back to the late, great John Wayne.
Further up the claim road are archaeological sites in a red sandstone canyon, home to ancient cliff dwellings with pictographs (ancient rock drawings).
Great nightly star gazing with clean air and dark skies.
The Sedona area follows a Dark Skies policy, meaning, all are asked to limit their outdoor lighting at night to take in the magnificent star gazing that this area is famous for.
The red rock scenery of Sedona has long been an iconic setting for Hollywood films about the Old West and a popular magnet for artists and tourists alike. Sedona is
committed to preserving its small-town charm, and thanks to the sustained efforts of concerned residents, its dark night skies. In recognition of Sedona’s efforts protecting this important natural resource, the International Dark-Sky Association has designated the city of Sedona the world’s eighth International Dark Sky Community.
Owning a mining claim is having access to a lifetime of great family fun and recreation, in a very beautiful, natural setting: Arizona, is a great, scenic state, where the spirit of the old west still lives on.
We feel we are selling more than the gold and gems on beautiful land.
You would be acquiring an experience that will give you a good feel for what the old time prospectors must have felt during the days of the original Arizona Gold Rush.
A mining claim is an affordable way to enjoy the beauty of the land combined with the adventure of panning for gold and searching for gems.

Up the buttes on the claim are good places for gems.
It is a good sign that the federal govt. has withdrawn minerals in this area speaking to the value for owning claims in this area outside of the areas withdrawn.
National Forests remained open at all times during the virus with a televised invitation by the Director for families to visit them as safe places for family recreation, making our mining claims some of the safest places for your family to enjoy and get away from all the nonsense.
A lode claim differs from our placer claims, as on a lode claim you can dig into the mountain side and can even go to the extent of building a mine shaft.
Having a lode claim is an advantage as you can dig into the claim with a shaft if you choose,
and with the washes also on the claim, you can also prospect in the washes for gold, increasing your prospecting potential.
Our lode claim has a valuable mineral of crystals in veins (called lodes) cutting thru rocks.
Quartz and crystals are frequently found together and digging into the quartz vein is called chasing the vein.
A vein of quartz runs thru the claim, where we found some crystal deposits as well as turquoise deposits.
On the claim I found a crystal vein with crystals in the rock and a turquoise vein, with turquoise in the rock. Turquoise is the official Arizona state gem.
Pick and shovel, rock hammer, metal detector, and is hard rock mining.
I did not expose the whole veins, though was able to follow them going through the claim, intermittently.
The process of lode, hard rock mining, is the process where gems are extracted directly from the lode vein beneath the ground. Dig down about 3 feet as go through the claim, then pick, shovel, and rock hammer working the sides of that hole. Filling in the holes when leave the claim as required by the national forest.
For the use of any machinery, you need to file a Plan of Operation with the BLM for approval.
Scratch your rock ore against an unglazed white ceramic streak plate.
If it's gold, it will leave a golden streak. Or scratch the surface of the specimen with a knife. Gold is a soft metal that will show scratch marks.
The claim is located in a valley surrounded by buttes, rock formations, and mountains where summer rains bring down gems and gold into the valley onto the claim.
Find gems on your claim for your personal collection or start your own gem selling business.
The Sedona area has a number of people whose gem business is thriving.
As a claim owner, no one else can use the gold and gems on your claim nor even look for them.
There are also Sedona jewelers whose sole business is to cut and polish gems for jewelry if you choose to go that route.
You will also receive a free Prospecting Kit that includes,
a Rockhounding Geology Hammer Tool, Rock Pick Axe, 3 PCS Digging Chisels Kit, with Musette Bag, and a Compass. See picture of that kit with the listing pictures.
Using a battery operated water recirculating wash plant, dry washer, or gold magic spin wheel need little or no water for your prospecting, and a rock hounding kit, noted on the listing is a free gift for you.
See pictures of those on the listing.
