Why Live in Stonehenge

In the large neighborhood of Stonehenge, northwest Raleigh amenities are a short drive away. “The thing that’s really cool about Stonehenge is that it’s between the beltline,” says Mark Parker, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston who used to live in the neighborhood. “There’s Interstate 440, our inner beltline, and Interstate 540, our outer beltline, so it’s smack dab in the middle of that. There are a lot of shops, restaurants, and convenience right around it.” While it's close to city amenities, Stonehenge has more of a suburban feeling with larger lots and established foliage. The neighborhood also has a swim and tennis club that residents can join and a voluntary yet active homeowners association. “The neighborhood was started in the mid-1980s, and most of those lots are larger, typically 0.75 to a little over an acre,” Parker says. The neighborhood can be divided into three major sections. The northwest quadrant of Creedmoor and Howard Roads has houses from the 1970s and later, while homes east of Creedmoor Road were primarily built in the 1980s. The southwest quadrant of Creedmoor and Howard Roads has a mix of newer homes as well as some from the '80s and
