About Alecia
I have always had an interest in real estate, but it wasn’t until my husband and I bought a home in 2015 through Sotheby’s International Realty, with real estate agent Arleen Hardenstein, that I took the first few steps in realizing that vision.
I mentioned to Arleen that I always had an interest in the field, so when Arleen suggested I come work for her as her assistant, the fire was stoked. My daughters were still only 3 and 4 years old, so I didn’t feel the time was right. But a year later I began as an assistant to Arleen and started to learn the ins and outs of the real estate business. By fall 2017, I obtained my real estate license and began working as an agent for Sotheby’s International Realty.
Born in Montana and raised in Sacramento, I attended Chico State and later Colorado State in Fort Collins, where I met my husband. In 2007, we moved back to my hometown of Sacramento and were married in the Cayman Islands in 2010. Kayman was born in 2011 and Mackenzie in 2012. Ryan, a water sports enthusiast, wanted to move closer to the ocean, so we moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 2014.
As a wife, mother and student of psychology in college, I feel I can bring a unique and down-to-earth perspective to my career. “I think I’m very genuine and personable and I’m always honored when clients choose me to buy or sell their home,” I say. “I’m as real as they come.”
As a wife and mother, I feel I have an intimate, insider’s view for families looking for a home. With a husband from the construction and home-building trades, I can also envision the needs and desires of a family. “I have creative ways to look at homes from a family viewpoint.”
I may only have a few years of experience, but I believe I am learning and growing exponentially. “After every sale, after every quarter, I feel more confident and excited about where I am,” I say. “I’m walking people through a milestone in their lives, and I’m very honored and humbled that clients have chosen me to represent them.”
“They say, ‘Find something you love to do, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life’,” I say. “I don’t see my real estate career as work. I feel very blessed.”

Alecia is detail oriented and also sees the larger picture. She was fabulous to work with and made my move and home sale far better than I expected. She goes way above and beyond the basics. Plus all that, she is a genuinely nice person. She’s tops.
