Alyce and her husband, Leonard live on and own vineyards in the Lodi appellation. The vineyards are part of Lodi Rules, a sustainable farming program for wine grapes. "Wine starts with the grapes," explains Alyce. Purchasing a vineyard involves understanding the soil, access to water, the vines' harvest history and more. Besides the vineyards, horses are a passion of the Petersons. So, much so that they developed and opened a commercial horse stable in Lockeford, CA called Lockewood Stables. "Every horse owner has a wish list for their horse property. When I work with a client, I listen for that horse owner's wish list, " continues Alyce. Country Life is special but not for everyone. For nearly twenty years, Alyce and her husband have lived in the country. A home in the country offers a certain independence and freedom, but it also comes with work. "When I work with a client wanting country home, I ask how do you see your life in the country? What is most important to you? That information really helps in our search and evaluation of properties. Sometimes, a rough diamond has all the elements we are looking for. It just needs "polishing" to make it livable," Alyce comments.

Besides holding her real estate license, Alyce has 32 years of sales and marketing experience. While managing the marketing services team for a major life insurance company based in California, Alyce was responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns that leveraged print, digital and social media campaigns. "Especially in today's market, buyers use online tools and virtual tours to checkout a house. If your property isn't positioned online to catch a buyer's eye, how will you get a buyer's attention?", asks Alyce.
Besides her real estate license, Alyce holds her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. As a CFP, Alyce starts with understanding what you want to accomplish overall. As she explains, "Buying a home and buying an investment property are two different things. Understanding what the overall goal is for a client helps a lot. That way, I don't waste your time with properties that really don't fit. There is more to it that an automated search with parameters."
