I was looking for a house in Asheville, but was doing so remotely from the Midwest. I selected Alyssa because of her own personal story of coming to Asheville and looking for a house from a remote location was similar to my story. Once we spoke on the phone, I knew should was a perfect match. In the end, Alyssa met all my expectations. I wanted to find an investment property that would appreciate but would also be a place that I would want to live in once I retired and moved to Asheville. Alyssa was very helpful. She is honest, fair and responsive. She sees her job as working for me. She was my eyes and ears in Asheville. We spent lots of time on the phone and lots of time face-timing for walk-throughs. She was my advocate and would steer me away from properties that would not meet my standard. She steered me away from those properties that would not meet my standards because of items she identified that I was not and could not have been aware of coming from the outside. She protected me as my advocate and resource and in the end I wound up with the perfect house. I have purchased and/or sold homes in Chicago, D.C. and now Asheville, N.C. and Alyssa is the best buyer's agent I have ever encountered.

We've been working with Alyssa for several years to find our ideal retirement home. Since our time horizon was flexible, Alyssa made sure she highlighted the pros and cons of the various properties she presented. She made us aware of things we had not previously considered and never oversold us. She was very patient and thorough. Alyssa listened and quickly got an understanding of what we were looking for, which was key since we live out of state and needed to ensure our time and money on trips to view properties were well spent. In addition to knowing the market well, Alyssa was personally committed to making our house hunting a success. She had creative ideas for overcoming obstacles, and her communication was second to none. She is incredibly responsive and client focused. We ended up buying an empty lot and contracting with a builder. Alyssa was instrumental in us finding the right lender for a construction loan. The actual purchase was a breeze. We were able to complete everything electronically, and it was by far the easiest transaction (from our end!) of any of our real estate purchases. Even after all was complete, Alyssa stayed in touch to ensure things were going along well with the construction. I'm so thankful we found Alyssa. I don't really know how we could have accomplished as much as we did from afar without her help. 

In August of 2014, my family met with Alyssa to tour the neighborhoods of Asheville to see if it would be a good fit for us to make a relocation from Chicago. I had communicated in advance with her about my general likes and dislikes, and when she was touring us around I discovered she had really listened to what I had said. She gave us a great neighborhood tour to see what one can buy at various price points, but really focused on those neighborhoods that fit my descriptions. Throughout the fall she gave me a heads up on some properties she thought I might like and her insights on their price points so I was better educated about the market. Several months ago, our family made the decision to relocate/retire to Asheville. We had visited the area once but didn't know it well at all.
