Alyssa Horner

Born in Orlando, Florida, Alyssa considers herself a North Carolina native, moving to Asheville when she was 10 years old. After she graduated from AC Reynolds High School, Alyssa began her career in Veterinary Technology. Her compassionate nature also served her in the early childhood field, where she worked as a nanny and babysitter for families within her community. Along with her background in veterinary medicine and early childhood, Alyssa also has experience in business, with her employment as the office manager at Ashley Mobile Electric. Alyssa’s prior professional experience shows her extensive knowledge in a multitude of fields, as well as her tenacious and hard-working nature, which reflects in her work as a real estate agent.

Alyssa was always interested in real estate - she would find herself scanning Zillow or other listing sites, analyzing the listing price and imagining how she would design a home to make it her own. She made the professional transition into real estate in June of 2024 and obtained her license in August of 2024. Along with her license in real estate, Alyssa has first-hand experience with the real estate market as a buyer, closing on her first home in February of 2024.

Outside of her professional life, Alyssa enjoys cooking and baking, using fresh vegetables and fruits from her garden and eggs from her chickens. Alyssa also enjoys spending time with her partner Charlie, and their 38 animals. To relax, Alyssa enjoys reading, particularly thrillers, and is always excited to share her recommendations. She’s always up for an adventure and travels at any chance she can; her favorite travel destination being New York City, which she tries to visit every year.
