Andi grew up in a great family that took care of others. It’s part of who they are. That’s where her love of teaching and helping others came from. She went into teaching and taught high school until she had her first baby. She was lucky enough to be able to choose to stay home and raise her kids.

Her daughter has learning difficulties and public high school was not the right fit for her. That’s when Andi chose to get into real estate. She needed a job that was flexible enough to drive her daughter to school and back.

Along with the care of her children she also is on call for her mother. Mom relies heavily on Andi for many things; they are best friends and talk multiple times each day. Unfortunately, Andi’s mom is struggling with some health issues and is easily overwhelmed these days. This increasing level of dependence on others is bothersome to her. Sometimes she doesn’t ask for help when she should because she is afraid that she is becoming a burden to her kids. Andi understands that many seniors feel this way.

By helping seniors, she can really be effective in their lives. Seniors are also very appreciative and grateful. She has found that senior citizens love sharing stories — and Andi really enjoys listening to and spending time with them.

Working with elderly clients gives her perspective; she learns so much from listening to their vast experience. She has always connected with the elderly and appreciates all the wisdom they have to offer.

Andi was inspired to cofound Moving Mavens because of her experience with her mom. Having to pack up and move decades of stuff can be paralyzing to anyone, especially an older person.

She will take the stress out of moving for anyone looking for a great negotiator who can make moving stress-free — and make the transition to their next home much easier.
