As a native of Walla Walla, Washington, Andrea Strohmaier grew up visiting the “big city” of Portland, knowing she’d call it home one day. After living in Arizona for a few years following her graduation from Washington State University, she managed to do exactly that. She loves Portland for its diverse activities. “There is truly something for everyone here, whether it be outdoor activities, art, food, culture, or music — and you can’t beat its natural beauty!”
Andrea’s earlier professional background included several years managing a bridal salon and working as an insurance claims adjuster. Both jobs required a high degree of customer service during emotionally sensitive times in one’s life. Those experiences prepared Andrea with an understanding of how to connect with people, build relationships, and take the stress out of stressful situations.
Andrea recognizes the importance for homebuyers to have an agent who is a steady backbone of support and a voice of reason. “Keeping that open flow of communication to my clients — even when there are no updates to share — lets them know that I care and am still there advocating for them and working on their behalf. I wake up every day excited about the opportunity to help people with the biggest purchase of their life.”
Married in 2021, Andrea and her new husband make their home in Tigard. They also have two rescue dogs; a Labrador named Bailey and a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix named Penny. Andrea loves spending time with her family, traveling, doing outdoor activities, watching Seahawks football, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, and catching a good Netflix series.
