Andrew Murr

As a lifelong Alaskan as well as a 40+ year resident of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Andy Murr is proud to be serving the people of South-Central Alaska, in pursuing their goals and dreams as property owners, buyers, and entrepreneurs.
Andy’s past service to the residents of South Central was a 25-year career as a Principal, Teacher, Counselor, and Coach. Andy has served on multiple committees during the creation of the State of Alaska mandated student testing. During those years, he also bargained both Teacher Contracts and Administrator Contracts as the Vice President of the Mat-Su Education Association and the Mat-Su Principal Association. In 2015, Andy retired from education to pursue this second career serving as a Realtor. His formal education includes a BS in Mathematics from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, a MS in Educational Information Technology from Western Oregon University, as well as a Master’s Equivalent in Educational Administration from National University.
Andy loves to play with his motor toys, fish, hunt, and ski. He especially loves to spend time with his grandchildren.
