About Andrew

Andrew personally oversees every aspect of each transaction and provides the finest service possible to individuals for whom professionalism and discretion are of the utmost importance.
Having spent his entire professional life in real estate (residential and commercial sales and leasing, property management, and real estate law), Andrew Sohn instills in his clients a strong sense of trust and confidence, which is amplified by his calm manner, market knowledge and attention to detail.

Serving the entire East Bay, Andrew personally oversees every aspect of each transaction and provides the finest service possible to individuals for whom professionalism and discretion are of the utmost importance. He has been a residential sales agent for the past 20 years.

Andrew attended New York University, where he studied art history and film. He then earned an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a law degree from the University of Illinois. Andrew worked as a commercial real estate broker and property manager in Chicago during law school and, after graduating, practiced real estate law for over 10 years, representing Fortune 500 companies as well as middle market real estate investors and individuals. After 9/11, Andrew returned to real estate sales with a focus on residential real estate sales. Andrew represents buyers and sellers, and nothing makes him happier than hearing from satisfied clients how much they appreciate his hard work on their behalf.

Andrew and his wife are long-term East Bay residents where they live in a landmarked home in Berkeley. They raised their two sons in the East Bay, so Andrew knows first-hand the ins-and-outs of local schools. Andrew was asked by the head of the Head-Royce School in Oakland (where one of his sons attended) to curate a student art exhibition commemorating the school’s 125th anniversary. He is the past president of the Parents Association and was a member of the Board of Trustees at St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School (where another son attended).

Shuttling his sons to their hockey practices and games throughout the state, Andrew gained a keen appreciation for Bay Area youth sports. Several years ago, he founded a non-profit corporation that provides financial assistance to underprivileged children who want to play hockey in the Oakland Bears ice hockey program. That program has received funding from the NHL.

An accomplished fine-art photographer, Andrew has participated in many gallery exhibitions both in the United States and Europe. He is also a passionate moviegoer and sports fan. Serving the entire East Bay, Andrew personally oversees every aspect of each transaction and provides the finest service possible to individuals for whom professionalism and discretion are of the utmost importance. He has been a residential broker for the past 21 years.
