As a California native she pictured Arizona as a desert full of cactus, coyotes, and rattlesnakes so she was shocked to find out how beautiful Arizona was. She fell in love with the state after her first visit in 11/2004. Anna and her husband called a lender and began the home buying process as soon as they returned home to San Diego. They had a new home built and moved in as soon as it was completed in 6/2005. It took only one visit for her and her husband to decide to relocate to Arizona. It was a crazy and spontaneous decision to uproot their lives and leave their ocean view home, but it was the best thing that they could have done for their family. Living in Arizona, Anna could afford to pay her mortgage while pursuing a higher education. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2012 and her husband obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree shortly after. The cost of living allows homeowner’s the option to invest in themselves or their family's education while maintaining an affordable mortgage. She loves showing homes to Californian’s because they always make the value comparison of how much a similar home would cost in California. The difference in the cost of living is remarkable.
