About Barbara

A native Richmonder, Barbara began working with real estate in the mid 1970's, utilizing the historic rehabilitation tax credits to renovate properties in the Fan district. After attending Penn State University and a year of study abroad, Barbara received her B.S. degree in education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She taught for over seventeen years in public and private schools in Hanover and Henrico Counties before joining Virginia Properties in 1989, when she was named the Rookie of the year. Because education has been a major force in her life, Barbara completed courses to receive several real estate designations including Certified Site Professional (CSP) and Graduate of the University of Virginia's REALTORS® Institute (GRI)and she is a 15-year Richmond Association of Realtors Distinguished Achiever.
