Born and raised in Birmingham, Barbara Sandner has been selling real estate for over 35 years. Her career began in 1983 when her first two children started school. She is a lifetime member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors’ Club of Excellence and a Vulcan Award recipient (10 consecutive years). Barbara is a Certified Residential Specialist and a member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Barbara has an enthusiasm and knowledge of local real estate that comes from years of experience. Barbara is an alumnus of Mountain Brook High School and graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a degree in Art Education. Barbara and her husband, Joe Sandner III, have 3 children. Joe IV, Liz and Sally. Joe IV and his wife, Julie, have three children, as do Liz and her husband, Rusty Rich. Sally is a chemistry teacher at Vestavia High School and is married to Dustin Dew.
Barbara is a sustainer of the Junior League of Birmingham, the Ballet Guild, and the Children’s Art Guild, as well as a Chi Omega Alumni. She is a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Highland Sewing Circle, English Village Garden Club and Redmont Park Garden Club. Besides loving selling real estate, she enjoys French hand sewing, knitting, bridge, walking, exercise, travel, everything at Lake Martin and spending time with her six grandchildren.
