Working as a Realtor has taught me that the job of a real estate agent is far more than buying and selling homes and buildings. It is about building relationships with people, defining challenges and closing with success. It is guiding others to reach their goals and dreams. What a great profession to be in!
My first career was in public education as a teacher and district administrator in upstate New York and the Hudson Valley for forty years. I simultaneously taught courses and served as a guest lecturer in Educational Graduate and Post Graduate classes. I am also privileged to have provided consulting and training for companies in business and industry. I was schooled and provided training in soft skills such as Team Building, Planning, Change Management, Systems’ Thinking and more.
When I decided to retire from education, I felt that my career work wasn’t finished. I am passionate about working with and serving others. A career in real estate seem like an interesting next step because it would allow me to do what I am passionate about and use the skills I have built over the years such as skills of collaboration, communication, persistence, focusing to a target and research. To top off all of that, I can still work with a team.
I partner with experts in their fields such as Title Officers, Inspectors, Assessors, Loan officers, Carpenters, Builders, the list goes on and on. I want my clients to be able to have a one stop, excellent quality service. If a client has a need I want to assist in filling it in a professional manner. I can call upon my team, my colleagues and/or my company, HomeSmart Homes and Estates to provide me with additional resources if I need them.
