About Barry

Barry has been one of the top selling brokers on the Outer Banks since 1998. Now as Sales Manager and Broker for Carolina Designs Realty, Barry has been able to impart his years of sales and real estate experience to the other members of the Sales Team. He has used his prior successes to bring him to the leadership position of one of the industry’s top firms in the premier resort destination of Duck, North Carolina.

Prior to his real estate career, Barry spent over 10 years in corporate sales with various companies and worked as a VP of Sales for the Avery Label Company before deciding to move to the beach with his family. Barry and his wife ran a very successful retail business for five years before Barry decided it was time for a career change. He began his real estate career as an Associate Broker, at RE/MAX Ocean Realty. In his third year at RE/MAX, he became a member of the Chairman’s Club and was inducted into the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame in 2004. In 2008, Barry was presented the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. “I knew in 2010 the time was right to make this move,” so Barry left the RE/MAX firm to lead an elite company, Carolina Designs Realty, into a new aggressive direction.

Barry believes in “Service Beyond the Sale”. He believes in constant personal contact and insists that customers always remain informed, both in good times and in bad. No news is NEVER good news as far as Barry is concerned and the importance of follow-up can never be underestimated.
