Celebrating BENJAMIN Apartments + Cityside Homes’ 10-year anniversary, Ben Robbie steers one of the foremost full-service boutique brokerages in Boston, leading a team of over 30 real estate professionals in the residential and commercial market.
Raised in Central Massachusetts, Robbie moved to Boston for college and began his real estate career in junior year. Following graduation, he earned his broker’s license and launched what would become BENJAMIN Apartments + Cityside Homes. Since then, he’s brokered over 3,000 real estate transactions across the Greater Boston area and established working relationships with the city’s largest landlords, developers and corporate offices. “The BA+CH business model focuses on both sales and apartment leasing,” he explains. “Our agents are knowledgeable in both fields, allowing us to service multiple markets.”
Taking an active approach, Robbie works directly with clients while overseeing day-to-day operations. Last year, despite COVID restrictions, Robbie and his team leased over 300 apartments sight unseen or through video tours. October and November were record months. “When COVID hit, I thought our industry was in trouble,” he remembers. “But we successfully pivoted in many ways, such as increasing electronic payments, conducting calls with clients through Zoom and using video tours to replace in-person showings.”
As a longtime Boston resident, Robbie has an edge when advising clients. “From up-and-coming neighborhoods to new restaurants and shops,” he says, “living and working in the city gives us firsthand knowledge of what’s happening.”
