About Bernie

Few REALTORS® have more experience than Bernie, but he hasn’t always been an agent. He began his life working hard around his childhood home, encouraged by his father’s strong work ethic and diligence. His professional career officially started when he took a job at the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup plant in Hershey.

But when it was time for his young family to buy their first home, Bernie decided to take up real estate on the side to earn extra income. So, just like many wonderful things in life, Bernie’s interest in real estate was born from necessity. It wasn’t long before he focused on real estate full-time. Today, he still loves serving people by helping them to achieve their dream of homeownership.

Bernie’s real estate career is defined by a keen desire to educate himself and others. He knows that he can only teach his clients about the buying and selling process if he takes the time to learn about it, himself.

For example, Bernie is a Certified Residential Specialist—a designation only 3% of U.S. Realtors® have achieved. He’s also a Senior Real Estate Specialist and a Certified New Homes Sales Professional. Bernie is also a graduate of the Graduate Realtors® Institute (GRI).

Not all REALTORS® take the time and effort to earn these certifications, but Bernie understands their value. He enjoys passing on his knowledge to others so they can make educated real estate decisions.

Bernie assists buyers and sellers in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Cumberland, Perry, and Berks counties. As a 50-year resident of Dauphin County, he knows the area and surrounding counties well. Bernie focuses on residential real estate, but has also helped clients find commercial and multifamily properties.

Bernie and his wife of 50 years have been blessed with four children and 14 grandchildren. He’s a Community Church of Harrisburg member and enjoys volunteering for UPMC Pinnacle Health and the Gift of Life Donor Program. He is also a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and Compassion International.

When he isn’t working with buyers and sellers, Bernie enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and vacationing in Maine.
