My name is Beth McHugh, and I'm a Managing Broker with Mark N. McHugh Real Estate in Sequim, Washington. Born and raised in Sequim, I grew up in a real estate family receiving my early education over the dining room table. After graduating from Sequim High School, I continued my education, graduating from Whitman College with degrees in English Literature and Dramatic Art. After college I lived/worked in New York City and Seattle, before returning home to Sequim in 1991. I was licensed in September of that year and have been a full time REALTOR ever since.
I have been a very active member of the Sequim Association of REALTORS, serving in various roles over the years, including Chair of the Education Committee, Chair of the Nominations/Elections Committee, Chair of the MLS Committee, Secretary of the Association and President of the Association in 2017. I have received the President’s Award, REALTOR Achievement Award and REALTOR of the Year Award. I am delighted to be one of the pioneering members of Homes.com on the North Olympic Peninsula and working with them to serve the real estate buying/selling community!
I believe that my most important duty is one of provision of information and advice, both to buyers and sellers. After three plus decades in the business, I either spots issues before they arise, or know how to deal with them when they do. I believe that my clients would prefer to be guided rather than led. I promise to tell you what you need to know, not just what you want to hear. I am intimately familiar with and specialize in the eastern portion of Clallam County on the North Olympic Peninsula and will not attempt to provide services outside my area of expertise. I have also managed my husband’s residential contracting business for over 20 years, so I'm familiar with aspects of development, permitting, building, etc.
My husband, Terry and I live in the unincorporated Sequim area, close to Dungeness Bay, with my mom (who lives in our guest house) and our furry children, Baxter the Terrier/Poodle cross and Charli the Standard Poodle. In my off time, I am in the midst of creating the garden of my dreams and enjoying family and friends in Sequim.
