Betsy de Manio, a Florida native, has been a Siesta Key residence since 1977.
She is a sailor and rower, who with her husband, Peter, founded the Sarasota Scullers, a nationally recognized rowing team made up of students from area schools, and more recently the new premier high school rowing team, the Osprey Oars.
