Moving from the Washington DC area to Portland Oregon presented the challenge on how to find and purchase a condo in a short period of time. Fortunately, my east coast real estate agent referred me to Blake Ellis who helped me the overcome this challenge in three weeks. Blake worked with me while still being out east by identifying a list of properties on sale based on a set of criteria that I had, one of them being it had to be in the city. He listened to my comments about the list presented and refined the next list accordingly. By the time I arrived in Portland, we had the list down to three properties, which we visited the next day after my arrival and I chose one of the three. Now the purchase process started. Blake was very efficient during all phases. He was very supportive and realistic during the purchase price negotiations and made the whole process of completing all the paperwork to go to settlement very easy. In short, three weeks after my arrival in Portland I was the proud owner of a condo in the city of Portland. If and or when the time comes for me to move on, I will call on Blake to help me through the sale and purchase of another property.

We have had the pleasure of working with Blake on three transactions over the last several years. In 2014 he helped us sell our condo in the Pearl District and buy our house in NE and our most recently in 2022 he helped us sell our home in NE Portland.

Blake always listened to our ideas and concerns along the way. He provided excellent insight into the current market conditions each time we bought and sold. He was flexible in the approach to selling in very hot, but unpredictable markets in both 2014 and 2022.

Realtors need to be detail oriented, and Blake fulfills that requirement. His follow-up is timely and direct. In our most recent transaction, we were out of the country and he was great at dealing with the time difference and communicating what we needed to know and getting us documents to sign as necessary.

We would highly recommend Blake and would use him again should we have the opportunity.
