Brenda Melgar

Brenda graduated from the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston while working as a painting instructor and raising a young son. “It was in balancing various things that I thrived! I knew that time with my son was valuable, so I learned to get work done more efficiently.” She went on to create commissioned artwork for clients such as Extreme Makeover Home Edition and NASA, and has illustrated various children’s books. Of that time, she admits, “I have always loved using my talents of creativity and helping others, whether it was as a volunteer at my church, or with the community; I love making people’s day!” She changed industries to cater to her love for people, and brings a warm yet tenacious spirit to Kenney and Company Real Estate. In 2022, Brenda served 12 clients, and consistently broke into the top 10 agents at her brokerage. She believes in a personal, empathetic approach to real estate, and gifts her clients a painting of their new home at the closing table- A special memory to encompass the emotional journey of real estate!

When she isn’t helping clients achieve their home goals, she can be found snuggling with her golden doodle Rocky, painting, working out, skiing, or exploring Colorado with her husband and children.
