I was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and have been a resident of Northern Michigan for the past thirty-two years, living in Indian River and the surrounding area. I have been happily married for 30 years, and our children graduated from Cheboygan Area Schools, where my wife dedicated many years as a teacher. I began my career in real estate in April of 1999. Interestingly, I once sold a chocolate and ice cream shop to myself, leading our family to own Drost's Chocolates, a beloved establishment in Indian River, for twelve years. During this period, I temporarily paused my real estate career to focus on our business. After venturing into a few more businesses, I am excited to return to real estate.
Since 2003, I have proudly served as the president and co-founder of the Indian River Snowmobile Grooming Club, which has provided me with extensive knowledge of the trails, woods and lakes of Northern Michigan. Additionally, I have been a trustee of Mullett Township since 2020. My hobbies include golfing, boating, snowmobiling, skiing and classic cars, and I appreciate all the seasons Michigan has to offer.
With a deep understanding of Northern Michigan properties, whether on or off the water, in town or in the middle of the woods, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. I have renovated houses, built my own home and owned various successful businesses which further enhances my ability to help you find exactly what you are looking for in Northern Michigan.
