About Brian
He started his real estate business in October 2013 after a difference-making career as a Washington, D.C. public interest lawyer. For 13 years, he worked for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, fighting to reduce the scourge of gun violence on a national level. He also worked for organizations to protect voting rights and advocate around federal judgeships and issues before the U.S. Supreme Court.
He brings the same commitment and tenacity to helping clients buy or sell homes that he did when he battled the gun industry in court. His legal background is an invaluable resource for his real estate clients.
He has received numerous honors as his business has grown. He was recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as a Top Producer in only his third year, and he has continued to receive that honor each year since. He has also been recognized as a Top Producer in Arlington Magazine, and Zillow has awarded him Best in Customer Service, Master of Client Happiness, and Best of Zillow.
One of his greatest strengths is his responsiveness and communication skills. He puts his clients’ interests first, always working to achieve the best results for them. He thinks strategically when it comes to writing contracts and negotiating the best deal for home sellers. When you hire him as your realtor, you know you have a strong and skilled advocate on your side.
After five strong years at McEnearney, he joined Compass in March 2019 so his clients could take advantage of the many benefits Compass offers to home buyers and sellers.
In addition to providing his own expertise, he has excellent connections with a wide range of industry professionals he enlists to help clients buy and sell homes, including lenders, title companies, home inspectors, stagers, and others.
He grew up in the Midwest, lived 10 years in Washington State, then came to Washington, D.C. in 1986. He met his wife Linda at American University, Washington College of Law, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1990. They have two adopted children.
As a Realtor®, his greatest joy is helping people make the same life transitions that he has experienced.
