This is my honest opinion of my experience with Brian. I did not know him before looking at a new house. My old house was small and my family had outgrown it. We desperately needed an upgrade and booked an appointment for a house and he showed up. We didnt know who we were gonna be dealing with. I am so thankful we got him as he has been a gigantic blessing. Brian is extremely knowledgeable about both real estate/ the market, and houses in general. He will tell you what is safe, how repairs have been made, and how they should be. He will always be there for you, day or night. He will answer the phone always or get back to you in a reasonable amount of time when he can't. He is reliable, responsible, intelligent, and over all just a great man. Selling our old home and getting into the new home was quick and painless. We looked at our new home in early October and closed November 15th on both houses. Brian was our realtor in the selling and buying of our properties. I cannot express enough about the professional and knowledge this man holds. When it comes to selling your property, you will NOT find any other realtor in the area that will market and push your homes sale like he does. It is remarkable the amount of time, effort and research he will put in and do to get your home it’s greatest purchase price. He came in and helped us decide what we needed to do to make our property more appealing to buyers and how to make what we had very marketable. The pictures and quality of pictures which he had done were impeccable. We only had our home on market for roughly 3/4 weeks before we had a solid contract. This is after attempting to sell two times before with no luck and at a lower price. If you are looking for an agent to help you get top dollar for your home and if you are open to helpful advise for repairs and/or upgrading needed to make your home appeal to buyers, then he IS YOUR REALTOR. He will guide you in anyway in which you want. If you don’t want to make repairs that’s ok, he will work with you on how to make it happen without them. All I can say is he really won my husband and I over with his knowledge and his persistence and drive. He always gave us hope and never made us feel as if we weren’t going to sell. He always came through and kept things rolling.
As a buyers agent Brian is the same agent as I have stated above but he is also very patient. I am a very indecisive person and that can sometimes make buying a home very difficult. I want things to line up and be what I want without the uneasy feeling. Sometimes that can be a challenge but with Brian he always made me feel good about my “thinking out loud” and indecisiveness. He says if it doesn’t feel right then it’s not and that I should wait. I finally convinced myself he was right and it would feel right when I found our home. Sure enough that day came and I knew I wanted the house we are in now. He made sure that we were the ones that would land the contract, he did everything he could even when he was out of town to make sure our contract came in first. Good thing he did bc that afternoon there were already 4 on the table. Brian went above and beyond for us and made sure we would be in a good position to be the best and strongest offer on the table. He ran comps and told us what would be a strong and competitive offer without going over on offer too much. He made us feel very comfortable and confident in our decision. Brian never gave up on us or made me or my husband feel as a burden. He ALWAYS answered my calls or text within 10 minutes. He always took the time no matter how long to explain in detail things that occurred. He ALWAYS calmed me when I would get nervous or uneasy and he ALWAYS ALWAYS made sure we were his top priority even though we were only 1 of his many clients!! I could not ask for any better representation than that of Brian Sohn. I am so glad I gave him the time and listened to him. This was the beat transaction we have ever had and this is our 7th move. Thank you Brian, you are amazing!!!

The sale of my house is a long story but it took almost 3 years. During the time we were waiting to be able to sell the house Brian had to do several extensions on our contract. Brian stuck through the ordeal with us and Had our back the whole time. My wife and I are very happy with Brian. He always has the answers, and is always very good with communication (always answers the phone) even after he sold us our first home he still remains in good contact and answers questions. He also knows if you are looking at something potentially troublesome. He’s very knowledgeable in all aspects of buying/selling/owning a home. Brian is First Class. Having a background in construction & design, it was refreshing to have a realtor, who was previously an architect and understands what to look for and knows how to communicate on more than “What I see on HGTV level!”

He is willing to go the extra mile and I found him while looking at a house on Zillow or Realtor and from day 1 he made it feel as though we’d known each other forever & really listened to what We wanted in a house. He helped us find it in 6 showings.

The process from there to purchase was flawless with his connections and his diligent work ethics. Not many people will be emailing and talking to you at 10pm on a Sunday. There’s a reason he’s a leader in his field and respective area!

My experience with my first home purchase has been a harrowing one. After living in the same home for forty years, my world was turned upside down in a flash, when my husband had a stroke. No longer able to live in our 2-story home; I had to find help. I was truly blessed when, I, purely by chance, found Bryan Sohn, or, as I refer to him, “My Gentle Giant”. Yes, he’s about 6’8” tall, and one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. He has been there for me every step of the way. His efficiency, intelligence and calming manner has been essential to my peace of mind. He kept in touch with me every day. Last week my husband had another stroke. With the closing date scheduled within less than a week, I again felt panicky. My husband was back in the hospital and all seemed bleak. I called Bryan He assured me that everything would be OK and he then prayed with me. I’ve shared this story with all of my friends and family. My husband is now home, and we’re praying for recovery.

Brian went above and beyond to make finding and buying our new home a stress free and overall fun experience! The way he answered questions and explained the details of the houses was exceptional. Brian’s background in drafting and construction gives his clients the advantage of viewing property from multiple perspectives, not just from a sales person. He not only found our house but made us feel like we are joining a community. If I didn’t know better I would think he was the chairman of the welcoming committee for the city of Washington. He gave us the history, events, and restaurant recommendations which really sold us on the city and overall our new house.
