Bryan Szela has worked in the greater Boston real estate market for 24 years. He began his career in South Boston in 1998 working for a small, local firm and then spent several years working for Prudential Maxfield Real Estate in Jamaica Plain. When Karen McCormack and Colleen Scanlan invited him to join their new firm, McCormack and Scanlan, 17 years ago, he immediately knew it was the right fit for him. He appreciated the office culture with a focus on Integrity, collaboration, and a high value on the success of each other.
He has cultivated an extensive list of satisfied clients in the Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury (and well beyond) areas. Well-versed with working with both sellers and buyers, he specializes in listening. He listens to his clients and carefully hears and makes sure he understands their goals and priorities and how he can help bring positive change into their lives. He has been particularly adept at helping first-time buyers navigate through the home buying process in an often competitive and difficult market. He is known for excellent negotiating skills, fairness, and a laid-back demeanor. His mantra when he meets with a new client is quite simple “He wants to do what’s best for these people/this people.” His greatest joy is when his clients share how they have experienced positive change after working with him. And there is truly nothing more flattering than a referral from a past client.
Insight Realty Group’s merger with McCormack & Scanlan Real Estate was incredibly exciting for him. The opportunity to join a team well known for their integrity, local impact, and mastery of the la. t technology, and continue to work with his McCormack & Scanlan colleagues and his colleagues at Insight.
He spent his childhood on his family’s dairy farm in Woodstock, CT. He moved to Boston in 1987 and has made it his home ever since. When he’s not working, he enjoys travel and spending time with family and friends. He is committed to helping end hunger in Massachusetts and regularly volunteers with several organizations including Project Bread and Rosie’s Place.
