About Buck

Buck Settles was born into Real Estate in Hagerstown, Maryland where his dad sold Real Estate and Insurance all of his life. They spent summers in Venice, FL and Buck Settles actually attended 2nd and 3rd grade in Venice. Their Family relocated permanently to Englewood, Florida in 1989 when Buck Settles obtained his Real Estate license and started selling for Century 21 Gulfwinds in Venice.

In 1991 Buck Settles became a broker and opened up his own Real Estate office with partners Buck and Bonnie Davis. Since they had become one of the top independent Real Estate companies in the area, Coldwell Banker bought their company in 1998. As a sales agent for Coldwell Banker and with his buyer’s agent Dalene Johnson and assistant Terry Schluter and Sarah Stafford, they built their business up to selling over 80 transactions per year and decided to join Re/Max in 2002. They continued to produce at that level until the Real Estate market crash which in their area started in 2006.

Fighting through that adjustment and always remaining a full-time Realtor Buck Settles opened Settles Real Estate in 2012. Lynsey Hutchings joined his office as an administrative assistant having worked for Re/Max for several years while Buck Settles was there. She assisted him with his sales and a growing inventory of Rental homes that Buck Settles would manage for his clients. In late 2015 through June of 2017, Buck Settles was recruited by Bosshardt Realty Service. While at Bosshardt, Lynsey and Buck Settles expanded their rental inventory to over 80 units managed and maintained a very healthy sales volume.

Buck Settles is proud to announce that in June of 2017 he was able to acquire the Venice office from Bosshardt and reactivate Settles.
