Ernest Vincent (“Buddy”) LaCour is a Florida-based real estate developer with more than two decades of experience in land development, entitlements, and commercial and residential real estate projects throughout Volusia County and Central Florida. He is based in Port Orange, Florida, where he has played a longstanding role in the region’s development landscape.
LaCour is a managing principal of Southern Trends Development, LLC and serves as manager of multiple affiliated, project-specific entities formed to develop individual communities and properties. His work spans subdivision planning, land acquisition, municipal approvals, and early-stage development, with projects often delivered through partnerships with national homebuilders for vertical construction.
Through entities under his management, LaCour has acted as the original developer of communities such as Old Mission Cove in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, overseeing land ownership, entitlements, infrastructure, and phased execution prior to builder involvement.
In addition to residential land development, LaCour has been involved in a range of commercial, mixed-use, and investment projects across Central Florida. His development approach emphasizes local market knowledge, entitlement strategy, and disciplined project execution.
