Along with the rest of his family, Buddy is a lifelong resident of Eastern Baltimore County. Buddy's wife, Danielle, grew up just north in Bel Air. Their son, Carson, was born in 2010, and Dylan was born in 2014.

Buddy is a graduate of Perry Hall High School, CCBC (f/k/a Essex Community College), and Towson University. Soon after graduation, Buddy became a Certified Public Accountant and spent more than a decade as an auditor.
