About Burton

Burton, a native of Albany, is a graduate of St. Andrew’s - Sewanee School and Rhodes College. Burton taught public school for three years after earning a master’s degree from Georgia College and State University.

He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dan Blackshear, founder of Albany Realty Company, and his mother, Bonny Blackshear Dorough, who has served as Vice-President since 1989.
