They were professional, on the ball and very knowledgeable and helpful as they guided me through using my VA loan and getting a home. They got me in a house well under 30-days and helped me with every issue along the way. Candy was pleasant to work with and conducted herself as a professional with significant experience. She advised on the updates needed and saved me money on updates that I thought were needed but weren't. She let us know up front that she did not have a lot of experience with log home sales. Her suggested list price was lower than the comps based on my calculation but she was open to listing it at my price. The photos and the listing were excellent. She aggressively worked showings scheduled the first couple of days and we received four offers above asking price. The house went under contract for 10% more. There were a couple of times that communication was difficult because she was in continuing education class or out of cell range. The latter was more important because the buyers moved the closing date just a three days before closing and Candy's assistant didn't know the reason. Candy got back with us as soon as she investigated the matter. In fact, she usually responded quickly to our questions throughout the process. One suggestion I would make is to review the MLS for anything that should be in the contract. The buyers were expecting us to leave the refrigerator as it was in the MLS but we donated it thinking we were doing the buyers a favor since the refrigerator was 15 years old. Candy relayed to them that it needed to be in the contract for them to have legal grounds for remuneration. Overall, we enjoyed working with Candy and feel like she helped us maximize the value of the house while making the process smooth. We recommended her to two other friends. By the way, she was nice enough to pick up a package that went to our old address.

Buying a home in the height of the pandemic was not going to be a walk in the park. With new construction delays, a military report date quickly approaching, and a lot of extra stress with family life while my I was at The United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy, my found myself connected with Candy Limehouse. From the start Candy made sure that my wife understood what the housing market looked like, the competition in offers and how hard it might be using a VA loan, but she also made sure we knew she would find us something and it would work out. I had 2 months to get us into a home. Candy went and saw at least 11 homes for us, helped us place 7 offers and explained how to best make our offers attractive because we were using VA. Candy spent many hours on the phone with my wife, showing houses via FaceTime where my 5 month old daughter got to chitchat with her, many more hours emailing back and forth. Candy had no problem catching me up to speed and explaining things she had already gone over with my wife. She was at all the inspections, made sure we had time to do a walk through of the house and helped network with an amazing loan officer. She came up with several homes for me (I was looking to downsize and move to Columbia from Florence, SC) and picked a great place for me! She was working for me through my son and he has nothing but praise for everything she did. Even when we thought we'd lost our first choice (the house went under contract) Candy's intuition kept her looking at it, and when that sale fell through, she was right there with my son getting a contract for us!

Here's the thing about Candy, she is a warm, beautiful person inside and out. AND when it comes to making sure her client is taken care of she can be a bad a**. Love that about her. I was moving from out of state which is not an easy process but she made it as seamless as possible.
