I can’t recommend Capri Dessecker and her team highly enough–they are truly the best. Capri is *exceptionally* knowledgeable about the market, what to look for in houses and red flags to be aware of, and how to be strategic when it comes to making an offer and negotiating. She also truly wants the best for her clients–she took the time to really understand what we were looking for, is incredibly patient, and not only never pressured us but strongly encouraged us to look at homes that were the remotest of possibilities (I was worried about wasting her team’s time but as she kept reminding me, the more properties we saw, the more informed we would be). She and Courtney are also so organized and helped us stay on track and on task for the whole laundry list of things that happen when you buy a house. They gave us a beautifully organized binder at settlement with all the docs we will ever need along with notes about what to do when (e.g., if you don’t get a mortgage bill by this date, follow up, etc). Plus Capri is just really fun and kind and a joy to spend time with. I know I’m gushing–and I never write effusive reviews–but honestly, that’s how great they are!

Especially if you are a first time home buyer like us, you will learn a lot from her, not only about the process of buying a house, but also about houses in general. She is fun, nice, and knowledgeable, but most of all, she is genuinely passionate about what she does and is very good at it. It was a true pleasure working with Capri to sell my house in Graduate Hospital. She was amazing on all details from getting the house ready to sell, staging and photos, and negotiating the sale through to settlement. We quickly got multiple offers and settled above asking price. Capri went above and beyond in being available for open houses and tours, and was very responsive to calls and texts as well. Even now I can reach out to her with questions or for references for different housing projects. I could not have made a confident, educated decision without borrowing her expertise in Philadelphia neighborhoods, housing, building standards, potential red flags, etc. She negotiated a good chunk of money from the seller before closing was completed as well.

There are no words to accurately describe how AMAZING our first-time home buying experience with Capri was. We interviewed several agents when we began our home search, and Capri just blew them all out of the water. Capri is an exceptionally talented real estate agent. As a Philly native, she knows everything about the city but more importantly she knows insane details about home maintenance and construction.

We moved from NYC to Philadelphia with our 5-year-old and Capri made us feel comfortable and informed as we made this big transition. During the search process Capri was able to point out things that we wouldn’t have even considered. I don’t write too many reviews. I’ve experienced a lot of 5-star service, but I just never “get around to it” when it comes to sharing a positive review.

Well this time I’m actually following through, because Capri was/is a godsend. She came into our lives at a time when we were pretty hopeless about selling our Philly house.

The only reason we tried again is because of Capri-magic. She calmed us, coached us and called us through the whole process. She never lied to us about our prospects, but also gave us enough hope to keep pressing forward.

We ended up with an offer better than we could of imagined. Capri was probably happier than we were; that’s how invested she was in making it work.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience purchasing our condo with Capri and her team. We have been living out of the country for over 5 years and wanted to buy a place in the city for when we come back for a few months each year. We had very specific requirements, and given the market over the past few years, there were few places that would fit our needs. Capri listened and understood our situation. She would often go preview properties for us that might work, sending photos/videos and giving an opinion. She is completely honest and wouldn't sell you something to make the sale. When one came up we really liked a week before we returned to the area, she went on a weekend night to show to a family member. This was the perfect place for us and she was quick to help write our offer and submit that night knowing there would be multiple offers. We got our offer accepted! Capri and her assistant Whitney made the next few weeks prior to closing so easy for us. They sent reminders out, recommendations, and answered all our questions promptly. Closing was so quick because her team is super organized. They still follow up with us to make sure we are happy. I highly recommend Capri and her team if you are looking to buy (or sell) a home. They are the best!!

As first time home owners, we learned a gigantic amount from their expertise, from our first 2 hour Zoom with Capri to get to know each other, through every tour we did, through navigating negotiations and offer steps, to making sure closing went smoothly. We started looking for our first time home in Spring 2021. It was a crazy time to buy, and we didn't even know where to start (we almost gave up the whole idea all together). Then we met Capri and her team who made our dream become a reality in just a short two months.

The Capri Dessecker team is absolutely fantastic. They helped us buy our first home, walked us through the entire process, and after a few months we ended up in our dream house!

This being our first time buying a home, we had no idea how the process worked and didnt know the Philadelphia market very well. Before we looked at anything Capri took the time to educate us in the home buying process from start to finish, she broke down the expenses so we could be confident in our budget and showed us the types of houses and neighborhoods in Philadelphia that would fit our budget and life style.

Once we started looking at houses, Capri's attention to detail was incredible. She knows just about everything you can know about a house, she points out all sorts of important details you would never notice at first glance, and on top of it all she has great taste. We lived in Brooklyn and were unable to see a lot the houses in person. Capri made detailed video walkthroughs of each house we were interested in, they were so good that we felt confident putting offers on houses we hadnt seen in person, and ended up buying one of them!

Apart from finding the right home, the rest of the buying process was as smooth as you could ask. Capri and her team recommended lenders / housing inspectors / and were quick to respond to any questions that we had. The bottom line is The Capri Dessecker Team made the home buying experience painless, and I cant recommend them enough. They were professional, knowledgeable and, importantly, very fun to work with.

Capri and Neil are the reason I'm now in my dream home.

Mine is an odd story in that I wasn't even in the market for a house until I noticed the "for sale" sign across the street from my previous home (in South Philly, this is how we relocate). It was a Saturday afternoon and the seller was only accepting offers through that evening, but Neil and Capri literally carried me to the finish line. Reliable & affordable mortgage broker? Done. Although Capri was not my realtor, since I am out of state, she was there for me every step of the way when I purchased my home. Anytime I called she was there to answer any question I had. There really are not enough adequate words to properly describe working with Capri. To say she goes above and beyond does not truly capture her work ethic. She was our realtor when we sold our home and when we purchased our new one. As far as her being the selling realtor, she hustled. The pictures for online were exquisite. At no fault of hers, our home sold two times with both buyers backing out at the last minute before we closed with buyer number three. When the sale fell through, Capri never put her head down. She just hit the ground running. It takes a truly talented person to sell the same house three times! Her representing us when buying our new home was a pleasure. She negotiated a great deal! Her team did an excellent job with inspections. Because it’s the kind of luck that we have, the day we closed on our new home we were met with some surprises. Long story short, the sellers decided to let their dog destroy most of the carpet on the first floor and some other obnoxious things. Capri was on fire during our final walk-through. She had our back and handled everything professionally but fiercely. She is amazing. Buying and selling a home can be incredibly stressful experiences. You want someone with grit and hustle but someone charming enough to negotiate you one hell of a deal and you get all of those things with Capri.

This team of seasoned professionals are up to any challenge. After reviewing multiple house's on line we arranged to fly up from Florida for a marathon showing of approx 18 houses in three days. Stephanie was patient, and provided insiteful comments.
We quickly realized that most basements did not provide adequate ceiling height.
Moving on to plan B. Possibly new construction with a tax abatement. Bingo. We virtually bought our place on line, after a personal video tour from Capri and my son taking a stroll down the street.

Capri is amazing! She takes the time to talk you through the entire process, answer all your questions as many times as you need her to, and she's just a fun person to spend time with. I, unfortunately, had some difficulties/setbacks in getting my mortgage approved. But through every problem, Capri was there with solutions and moral support. It got to the point that whenever I came across a stumbling block, even my co-workers (who had never met Capri) said, "Don't worry about it! I'm sure Capri will have a solution for you." And sure enough, she did.

I was very nervous through most of this process since I've never owned a house before, but Capri made house-hunting fun and put me at ease with all her knowledge of the home-buying process and of homes in general. She also has a lot of connections with other professionals you will need to use throughout this process. She helped me find a lender, a home inspector, an insurance provider, a repair man, and so much more. She's professional, timely, and fun to be around. She's caring and is willing to put in the time and effort to get you what you are looking for.

She has a wide knowledge base and I'm continuing to seek advice from her now. She does not stop working with you after you settle, and she has continued to be there for me. Honestly, without Capri I would never had been able to go through this process and would probably be homeless right now. I've recommended her to my friends, who were already sold on her from hearing how she helped me through the process. She steered me clear of some bad homes, and helped me see what I really needed to pay attention to. She knows the area and has been through so much and she will share all of that with you. Do yourself a favor, and use Capri. My friends and family have told me horror stories about their dealings with real estate agents, and it made me value the support and expertise she provided to me all the more.

She made the process very easy and when I wanted to put down a deposit, she was happy to wait for me to run to the bank and gather everything I needed - she even grabbed me a coffee!
