Having recently secured a job in the DC area, I decided to buy my first home. After I consulted a trusted friend and realtor, he quickly connected me with Cara Fitzwater.

Right from the get-go, Cara distinguished herself by her communication skills. She immediately set up a virtual meeting to discuss the qualities I was looking for in my home, and within about a day, she had sent me a list of possible properties that fit the bill. From that point on, Cara was diligent and prompt about sending me information, and equally so in responding to my questions. In fact, Cara remained just as responsive late into the evening; she genuinely seems tireless. In addition to her client communication skills, Cara also showcased an ability to communicate effectively with the various other individuals and companies involved in the process. She was also able to leverage her existing professional network to help me close on a property just a few weeks after our first correspondence. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she's just a good-natured person and enjoyable to talk to.

As a first-time homebuyer, I initially felt intimidated by the process of hunting for and closing on a property. But at each stage in the process, Cara was clear, thorough, and patient in answering my questions and in describing the next steps forward. And as a result, I felt firmly involved in the process without feeling overwhelmed.

In short, I highly recommend Cara to anyone looking to buy a home in or near DC, especially any first-time homebuyer. If you’re reading this, you’d really be doing yourself a favor by reaching out to Cara.

Cara helped me make my first home purchase, in a pandemic, all while I was remote in another state. During the whole process, I always felt that she had my best interest at the forefront of her advice and decision making. She was always available to answer my questions and explained every step of the process to me. Being nearly a thousand miles away, I needed someone whose opinion I could trust when it came to workmanship and quality of a home (and I'm not what you would consider low maintenance when it comes to quality) and she was very frank about the condition of the homes we saw.

Her connections in the industry were essential during the process. She connected me with a loan officer who was able to do a quick close in 3 weeks. I got multiple roof quotes and the vendor she suggested was the lowest cost for the best quality. And, the home inspector she suggested was extremely thorough and helped me feel understand any projects that would be needed in the home.

On top of all of this, Cara has an easy to get along with personality and it was the icing on the cake of a great experience!

Cara Fitzwater is the absolute BEST!!! I cannot recommend her enough if you’re looking for a Realtor! She recently helped my fiancé and I find our dream first home in Towson, MD.

As a first-time home buyer, the process seemed complicated and daunting, but we felt so confident and at ease in Cara’s hands. She took the time to walk us through the process and was ALWAYS available when we had questions (and we had a lot of questions!!) She made us feel like we were her most important clients (as I’m sure she does with every one of her clients).

Cara is personable and a pleasure to work with and she is also extremely knowledgeable about the real estate industry. She helped us strategize our offer to get our home when we were up against multiple other offers. After our offer was accepted, she arranged and organized everything leading up to the closing seamlessly. We are so happy with our experience with Cara and you would be crazy not to use her for your real estate needs!

Cara helped my wife and I buy our first home, during a pandemic no less, and it was a great experience! We were looking to upsize from our city apartment and Cara understood exactly what we were looking for in a house and did an amazing job helping us narrow down choices. She also had great ideas making sure our offer was as competitive as possible, and then during the closing process walked us through every step while also soothing our nerves! Cara is hard working, personable, very responsive, and highly recommended!
