In 2025, Carla was nominated for and awarded the North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS® (NSBAR) CARES Good Neighbor of the Year Award for her outstanding volunteer work with Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter.

Beyond real estate, giving back is one of Carla's greatest passions. As one of the Glenview Ambassadors for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago Kindness Foundation, she helps organize community outreach initiatives throughout the year. She also volunteers several days each week at Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter, where she works with shy, fearful, reactive, and long-term shelter dogs while supporting fundraising efforts, adoption events, and animal transports. Through proceeds from her real estate closings, Carla sponsors adoption fees for long-term shelter pets, helping more animals find loving homes.
