About Carol
Carol Krokel is the Broker Owner of Hidden Oaks Realty and has proudly called Marion County home for nearly three decades.
Originally from New York, Carol’s journey brought her to the Horse Capital of the World, where she managed Mrs. John D. Rockefeller III’s horse farm before establishing Hidden Oaks Farm in Micanopy. Her lifelong passion for horses, land, and helping people find the perfect place to put down roots naturally led her into a successful real estate career.
With a degree in Equine Science and Veterinary Technology and more than a decade of real estate experience, Carol offers a unique understanding of residential, equestrian, farm, acreage, and luxury properties. Since beginning her real estate career in 2014, she has consistently been recognized as a multi-million dollar producer and has earned a reputation for integrity, dedication, market knowledge, and personalized service.
As the founder and Broker Owner of Hidden Oaks Realty, Carol believes that every real estate transaction represents an important chapter in a person’s life. Whether assisting clients with a family home, horse farm, equestrian estate, acreage, luxury property, or investment opportunity, she is committed to guiding them with professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care every step of the way.
Carol is currently building Freedom Crossing Ranch, a nonprofit organization born from her lifelong passion for horses and her vision of creating a sanctuary for draft horses who have spent their lives faithfully serving humans. This mission reflects the same values she brings to her clients every day: integrity, compassion, stewardship, hard work, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Clients often choose Carol because of who she is beyond real estate. Her deep roots in Marion County, lifelong involvement in the equestrian community, dedication to preserving the beauty of the land, and heart for helping both people and animals create a level of trust that cannot be manufactured. She understands that real estate is not simply about buying and selling property—it is about helping people create the lifestyle, legacy, and future they envision for themselves and their families.
Carol shares Hidden Oaks Farm with her two German Shepherds and remains passionate about preserving the unique lifestyle, beauty, and opportunities that make Marion County such a special place to call home.
Whether you’re buying or selling a family home, equestrian estate, farm, acreage, luxury property, or investment opportunity, Carol combines local knowledge, industry expertise, and a heart for service to help you achieve your real estate goals with confidence.
