Caryn Koppenhoefer’s life and career have been shaped by the very moments that define her business: crossroads. Born in Princeton, New Jersey and raised in Harford County, Maryland, Caryn's path has taken her across states, through major life transitions, and ultimately, back to her roots in White Hall, Maryland, where she now lives on a small farm with her three children and an ever-growing menagerie of animals.
Her journey began at her first major life crossroads—leaving Maryland for Hope College in Holland, Michigan, followed by a final semester in Philadelphia. With a B.A. in Communication, Caryn soon faced another turning point: a move to Florida with her fiancé, where she purchased her first home. From there, each new season brought its own intersection of decisions, growth, and reinvention. She bought and sold homes in multiple states, navigated graduate school in Richmond, Virginia, and became an early real estate investor just before the market crash of 2008—all while managing the personal and financial complexities of divorce and single parenthood.
At every twist in the road, Caryn gained not only practical real estate experience, but deep insight into the emotional realities people face during life’s pivotal transitions. From rebuilding her credit to buying a townhome in Bel Air, to navigating the sale of her parents’ longtime home and building a multigenerational addition for caregiving—her story is one of resilience and resourcefulness at life’s most defining crossroads.
Most recently, Caryn’s family faced another transformative moment: finding and securing a handicap-accessible home to meet her daughter’s evolving needs. This experience solidified her passion for helping others find clarity, stability, and hope through times of uncertainty.
Caryn’s real estate career was born out of her calling to serve others at these crucial life intersections.
