I had attempted to search for houses on my own for a couple of months before finding Celeste Colvin on Zillow. While I wasn't looking for anything necessarily particular in a home, the lot size was extremely important as I have two large dogs. After reading her reviews on Zillow, I enlisted her help given the resources she has at her disposal. I work full-time, am single, and also going to graduate school in the evenings. I don't have much time to house hunt. I gave her a list of must-haves and she did all the work finding homes that fit within my budget. We would spend a few hours on Saturday or Sunday going through houses. I found my favorites on the first weekend, although I did see others the next two weekends to keep myself from making a hasty decision. She did all the work for me, which helped me immensely as a first-time homebuyer and someone with a very full schedule. I was also a first-time homebuyer and she would be sure to point out things that may cause me issues, which I may overlook on cursory examinations of a home. I recently chose Celeste to represent me as my agent to purchase a home. I chose her after carefully reviewing several agents online. I made an excellent choice without question. Celeste was quick to respond from the beginning to the end of my home buying process. It was comforting knowing she was an experienced homebuyer herself, not someone that sees the process from an agent only perspective. I truly felt she had my utmost interest in mind with every home we entered. I was a first time homebuyer running with blinders on my eyes. My lack in experience had me horrified I'd get conned. Celeste had no problems walking me through things step by step with a comforting patience. She had no hesitation to meeting around my work schedule, meeting me at odd or weekend hours for paperwork and inspections. My major goal was to find a starter home I could live comfortably in for now but most importantly resell easily down the road. Due to the fact that the property was going into foreclosure, the sellers as well as the selling agent seemed to drag their feet at times. Celeste was very professional in dealing with them as well as moving the whole process forward. The roof was in need of repair and she was even able to help to get the owners home insurance to look at it and it was replaced with no cost to me. Great job, Celeste! Celeste was a PHENOMENAL realtor! I literally do not have one complaint. Celeste found me my dream house with no pressure and she did it with the sheer volume of houses that she showed me and by listening to me when I told her my expectations. Also, she never tried to push anything off onto me and even pointed things out that could potentially cause issues for me in the future even though obviously that can be a deterrent. When I found my dream house, some 30 houses later she went to bat for me with the builder and got me a great deal! She is so dedicated to her job that she once even invited me into her own home in order to print some vital paperwork for my loan. She was polite on the phone and said she would look into the questions I had about the property. I mentioned I might decide, if I purchased the property, to tear it down and build a new home. I found Celeste, when I was searching for a realtor, by looking through local realtor reviews. She had great reviews and this prompted me to contact her. When we met with Celeste she was able to explain everything in detail for us and walk us through what we should do to get the best response from potential buyers. We followed her advice and had our house ready for showing within the designated time line. Our house was listed on a Friday and by Sunday evening we had two full price offers. I rented a home managed by Celest for 2.5+ years, and it was a struggle the entire time! Everything was a struggle from trying to get a termite inspection to fixing the front door that was falling off the hinges.
