My husband and I have been in the real estate business for 27 years now. We have raised 3 great kids, Kim, Jason and Adam. Two are in college and Adam is a junior in high school. They are now old enough to start choosing their careers and one by one are choosing to get their real estate licenses among their other career choices. I believe they see how satisfying and emotionally rewarding it has been to us over the years. Yes, real estate is long hours, stressful at times, and yes, you must have great patience with all kinds of people. Everyone has their unique personalities and come from different walks of life and it always has elements in it that are very rewarding to me. I enjoy speaking with people and being able to help them find a comfortable and affordable place for their families to live in, whether it is an apartment, condo or home. Maybe it's a business for securing their future income or selling their home here so they can move on to the next chapter of their lives. I hope one thing that our kids have learned from us is that their goals shouldn't be about putting money first and foremost but it should be about building relationships built on trust, honesty and hard work. I believe if they put people first their success will always follow.
