Chris Burns has quickly emerged as an expert in new construction condo sales, real estate development opportunities, and marketing luxury single family homes in Washington, D.C., and Maryland. He has sold over $250 million dollars in real estate since 2013, all while building his business servicing a wide range of clients. Chris' clientele have characterized his approach as detail-oriented and aggressive, and he takes pride in his ability to negotiate creative solutions in a competitive market.
Chris and his group are the first, if not only, Washington, D.C. real estate teams to employ an off-market acquisitions team for the benefit of their developer, investor, and end-user clients. Chris is also a go-to resource for Washington, D.C.'s Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). He is fully versed in TOPA strategy and the procedure of the law, and has successfully represented landlords, buyers, tenants, and developers alike in 80+ transactions involving this complicated process. Chris has personally developed several condo projects, is actively growing a multifamily portfolio, and is currently going through several land entitlement projects.
After graduating cum-laude from Colgate University, Chris spent a year playing and studying the sport of cricket in India. Prior to becoming a Realtor®, Chris was a well-known DJ and music producer, and has released numerous original compositions and remixes on national and international record labels. Chris is also an avid tennis player and enthusiast of contemporary art and architecture. He currently lives in Chevy Chase (DC) with his wife, three daughters, and their Maine Coon cat.
