About Chris

Originally from Toronto Canada, Chris moved to Charlotte with his family in 1994. They grew up in the South Charlotte area and now reside in Fort Mill, SC. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte and received a bachelor’s degree, double majoring in Business Marketing and Culinary Arts (If you need recommendations for good Charlotte restaurants, he’s your guy!) After working in technology sales and logistics brokerage for a few years he decided to enter the Real Estate industry. Having grown up with a parent who worked with Allen Tate, he lived and breathed the Real Estate business from a very young age. Being exposed to the business every evening at the dinner table and while riding in the car, he learned what it takes to be a good Realtor and what is involved in getting the job done. In 2015, he joined Lori McGowan, and they formed The McGowan Group at Allen Tate. It’s exciting to bring their sales and marketing experience, knowledge of technology and social media, to the team.

His office is located at the intersection of Providence Road and I-485. This is the area that Chris grew up in and where he went to school. He now resides in Fort Mill with his wife Meryl. The areas that they focus on are South Charlotte and Union County areas in North Carolina and Fort Mill and Rock Hill areas in South Carolina. Chris is also focusing on, and very excited about the new revitalized neighborhoods in Charlotte that a lot of his clients are purchasing such as NoDa, Plaza Midwood, South End and Dilworth.
