As a native of Charleston, South Carolina, I joined the Navy in 1990, progressing my skills through education and work experience. Throughout my 31-year career, I progressed from enlisted to officer ranks, taking on all the most challenging assignments as an ordnance officer and successfully completing missions without losing a sailor.
Since retiring from the U.S. Navy and following my mission for helping others, I've become a real estate listing and marketing agent, which is blossoming into me taking part in uplifting the communities from Yorktown, Virginia Beach, and all the way to Suffolk, Virginia, by advocating for their family's home-buying journey. This second career, tied with my passion for educating and a heart for service, led me to help local veterans defeat homelessness during one of our society's toughest economic times. Through my newly appointed position as Executive Director of VetsHouse Incorporated, after serving as a board member for 10 years, I facilitate fundraising, renovate properties into contemporary living quarters, assist veterans with job hunting, ensure transportation for medical services and work, provide groceries for those who first enter our homes, and offer mental health guidance for all veterans in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, area.
Moreover, through this second era, I look forward to fostering more relationships, utilizing my leadership and decision-making abilities to improve my clients' experience in their real estate transactions, and to the betterment of all.
