Coleman has extensive experience in all facets of commercial and industrial real estate, with over 39 years as a developer and general contractor. He is an expert in the full development process, from inception to completion, with a deep understanding of finance, construction costs, entitlements, sales and leasing, and property management. Over the years, he has developed and constructed millions of square feet of commercial and industrial properties throughout Northern Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.
He is the co-owner and Principal Broker of Weber Rector Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate brokerage specializing in sales and leasing, as well as WR Management, LLC, a property management firm focused on office and industrial properties. Additionally, he co-owns The Rector Companies, a commercial real estate development firm. All three companies are highly active in the Northern Virginia market.
Having spent his life and career in Prince William County and Northern Virginia, Coleman possesses an in-depth knowledge of the local real estate market and its key players. Both local and outside investors frequently seek his expertise and insight.
Coleman has also had a distinguished academic career, serving as a Practitioner Faculty Member in the Master of Science in Real Estate programs at Johns Hopkins University (15 years), Georgetown University (4 years), and George Mason University (7 years). He has taught courses on Real Estate Investments and Real Estate Entrepreneurship and has lectured at Harvard University’s Executive Education Program, ULI, and Virginia Tech. Additionally, he is a frequent lecturer for NAIOP’s Development 101 series.
