Trying to sell a house when your 90 yo mother has broken her hip is not an easy task! Thank goodness for Colleen Jelley at Dwell! She has been my angel. She found us a buyer, and took care of so many details that I couldn't address because I live 2 hours away. I recommend her highly, she is the best!!

Colleen is amazing! We have had the privilege of working with realtor, Colleen Jelley, on two occasions, as a seller and as a buyer. Colleen was professional, extremely knowledgeable of all the many facets of selling and buying, and willing to help her client with whatever task came along. The purchase of our new home was challenging as we did not live locally during the building process. Colleen visited the site frequently, sent pictures, and met with the builder’s team and home inspector with and without us present. She made it extremely easy for us to stay informed during the entire process.
Colleen reads all the relevant documents, offers referrals for services that are needed during the process (i.e. home inspector), provides timely feedback on showings, and responds to calls and emails immediately.
In addition to vast knowledge of the real estate market and all the proceedings, she is a very talented decorator. When we sold our home, she spent hours studying the home and making so very subtle, but very effective changes that added to the appeal of the home. During the buying process she was a tremendous asset to helping us through the design center process.

I will forever be grateful to Colleen for making, what could have been a very difficult move, very painless. Moving my mother from North Carolina to Ohio and selling her home is no small feat, but with Colleen's guidance it was accomplished. She went above and beyond the call of duty. She knew exactly what needed to be done. She either did it herself or had the contacts to get it done. Colleen is a top notch realtor that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell a house.

Colleen brought a lot of calm to what could be a grueling process. With every property we saw together, she would help us weigh the pros and cons and think through issues that only someone with years of experiential knowledge could provide. We knew quickly we could trust her eye and her scrutiny—she had our backs.

As another reviewer mentioned, Colleen went above and beyond; she communicated quickly and effectively, she was proactive in reaching out to people, like inspectors and lawyers, on our behalf, and she walked us through complicated legal processes. This was our first home purchase, so this was invaluable. Not only did we appreciate her expertise, we had a lot of fun together! All of this in combination made the process so much easier than expected.

After interviewing multiple top-ranked area agents, we knew our search was over when we met Colleen.

We had never sold a home before, and doing so during a pandemic added its own challenges. However, Colleen made the experience easy, quick, and, most of the time, even quite enjoyable! My spouse and I secretly enjoyed our conversations with her, and she even has her own ring tone on my phone now. It is calming, just as she always is.

Colleen met with us and competently told us what upgrades we needed to make in order to get the best value for our home. She was flexible and willing to do whatever our budget and desires required, however.

In a matter of days, our home was on the market, beautifully staged by Colleen, and listed with lovely and professional photos, courtesy of Colleen.

Our home sold for list price on the first day, and we had two full-price offers and a host of requested showings that we had to turn down.

Colleen was professional and incredibly knowledgeable, and she walked us through (and held our hands) every step of the way. She was always available to answer questions and give advice, and she responded to calls or texts immediately.

She expertly negotiated with the buyer's agent, and she got us to closing despite multiple hiccups resulting from the buyers and their lender.

Colleen's beautiful staging actually attracted HGTV's producers, who offered to "rent" our home in order to film. She just has a magical touch in every way, and she goes above and beyond for her clients. As we were living a distance from our property, Colleen generously checked on our home and brought in packages left on our porch.

If you are looking for an agent in the Chapel Hill area, you can end your search here. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. In fact, you will be thrilled and, in the end, will not only have a go-to agent but also a friend. Colleen still answers questions for us, and in a few short months we hope to be working with her again for the purchase of a house. If she could get 6 stars, Colleen would deserve them. She is a gem--not only as a real estate agent but as a human being. We trusted her wholeheartedly from the beginning to the end, and that is so important for such major financial transactions. She is knowledgeable and ethical. Always honest.

Though I have tried to outline Colleen's many wonderful attributes, this review does not begin to do Colleen justice. But let me leave by again saying that Colleen is a superstar and was a Godsend to our family.
