About Cynthia

Cynthia Atkinson has been an active member in the real estate industry since 1987. Upon her graduation from Auburn University, she began her Real Estate career in Atlanta as a licensed Sales Associate with Northside Realty and later RE/MAX of Buckhead. In 1989, she became Assistant to the Senior FDIC Portfolio Manager responsible for the management and sale of real estate owned assets by the FDIC in the eastern U.S, more than $4 billion in REO. Her 30 years of Real Estate experience includes oversight of REO’s and nonperforming residential loans as Manager of Special Assets for First American Bank and Trust and Barnett Bank of Florida where she was responsible for the management, marketing and ultimate sale of the REO (Real Estate Owned) portfolio valued more than more $35,000,000 and five million dollars in loan workouts.
Later she reentered the Atlanta residential real estate market and was in the Million Dollar Club. In 1999, Cynthia, her husband Dan and their two children moved to Montgomery Alabama where for over 18 years she serve the fine people of that community. Cynthia has sold and managed more than $65,000,000 in real estate assets in her 30 years as a Real Estate professional. Upon returning to Auburn, Alabama in 2016, she joined eXp Realty where Auburn is her hometown of four generations and where her family previously owned over 1000 acres which now currently houses over six subdivisions including The Highlands, The Oaks at the Highlands, the Preserve, Shadow Wood, Autumn Ridge and Shelton Cove.
