Charles Houder

Charlie is the President and Founder of Haverford Properties Inc. Prior to establishing Haverford Properties, Charlie was a partner and the head of acquisitions for Preferred Real Estate Investments, Inc., a real estate investment and development company based outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Charlie has been principally involved in real estate and corporate acquisitions and dispositions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, Florida and the District of Columbia with a cumulative value of over $1,200,000,000 and ranging in size from $5,000,000 to $300,000,000. Charlie began his career as a real estate attorney at a large Philadelphia law firm. Charlie serves as the Chair of the Board of Visitors for Orthopaedic Surgery at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and is a Member of the Foundation Board of Overseers at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Charlie is also the Co-Founder of the Music Is Love Foundation Inc., a non-profit foundation that organizes music based events to raise funds for pediatric medical institutions. A native of the Philadelphia area, Charlie received a B.A. from Western University and a J.D. from Syracuse University. Charlie lives with his wife and four children in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
